Obviously since visiting Morris and Sons I'm on the mailing list. And this blankie pattern caught my eye this morning:
I'm not a huge fan of the granny square, but this one, I love the colour and the more complex, less hole-y design. But the question is, do I want to commit to making it? I'm handy with a crochet hook (as opposed to my knitting) so it's not a time thing, it's more that to make it will require 16 balls of yarn @ $11.50 a ball. I'd like to make it the same colours, but should I do it? Any thoughts?
Listening to: The Kooks 'Do you wanna?'....which uncannily popped up on the ipod half way through writing this post... although the title is a reference to the Franz Ferdinand song.

very nice, what a bummer i'm still trying to pick up how to crochet to begin with - bah!
it's gorgeous, and very "you" but $11.50 a ball for a blanket?
now, you will rarely hear me utter this phrase, but...
I think that's too much
try Bendigo's new Luxury range - it's not bamboo, but it's soft and you get 200g for $11.50
Ooo I likie that blankie!
Kylie, exactly...I could get a new tattoo with that money :P
Thanks for the tip re Bendigo, will check it out. xx
It's gorgeous Steph!
How about a cushion cover size instead?
x
yep, I do and I think you do too, but I reckon you can get the cotton cheaper than that. I made a tiny one for my new niece with three colours 'cause I'm like you on the granny squares and it was fun to make and I want one for myself now. Go on, make it!
Very specy new frock and shoes too!
