Alllrighty then, so when I went to the Mornington Library, guess how much I owed them in overdue fines? 90 dollars! Eep!
Thankfully the lovely librarian reduced it down to $30 and I paid $5 off it as that was all the cash I had on me. She also let me borrow a swag of books. Hooray! Amongst them was a super cute crochet animal one which I'll show you later. So I think I'll go home and celebrate the goodness that is local libraries by working on my library tote bag, featuring this pattern ...it's 3/4 finished. (Much like all my other projects.)
The photo, courtesy of Flickr, isn't it divine? I want a spot just like that to sit and read, and my very own pug! One day...

I was a lovely librarian in my former life.
I always wanted to Ssshhh! someone, wear my hair in a bun and be a porn star underneath the tweed.
We were a rowdy bunch and people shushed us. I have never worn my hair in a bun and as for the porn star...you will have to ask Ben.

hee, can't believe she let you borrow more books without even paying off the full fine! hasn't she figured you out yet?
glad she reduced the $90 down to $30 for you though - that's a lotta wool money ;)
ouch! how'd you get some a big fine?
yes me and libraries have a similar history. I have had some killer fines in the past - I'm being super vigilant now I'm back studying but it's only been a few weeks and I'll probably slip back into my old ways. I want the cushions - I could never colour-code my books! That completely throws me!!!
